Topic Society is a plan of actions based on impulse as well as deliberation. It urges us to confront the complex and ever-changing contemporary society, and to lead or join the dynamics that is happening. Taking various topics as entrance, Topic Society aspires to create highbrow space through sincere conversation and taste revolution. We also believe that the synthesis of thinking and practice, science and art could bring about new hope.

Making Space
Founded in 2017, Making Space is located in Panyu, Guangzhou, near a neighborhood that has been going through a major transformation. Making Space opens to all who have the desire to express in a honest and concrete way, and wants to extend the boundaries of perception and knowledge via conversation and collaboration.

The opening of SJT 上阳台开业
Soeng Joeng Toi (SJT) is a commune platform located in Changgang subway station, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, China close to the Xiaoyuan Village. Embedded in an inhabitant community, where traffic and daily life is very convenient, it serves not only as a daily function/ practice place, but also to promote a more cordial mutual inspiration and cooperation experience. Unite is the keyword to SJT. We hope that from artists, writers, curators, integrated executioners, talents from different areas can resonate, and this effort means to select beyond habits, a mechanism which is an operation, organization and decision-making of practice itself, also means to invent other ways to break through inherent imagination, so that “SJT” can be an organic organism to continue to link and release its own energy.

44 on the Move
44 Monthly, started from Marth 2020, is an experiment of collective creativity organized through a de-centralized and open-to-all mechanism. Members of Theater 44 friends, quarantined from different corners of the world, write, design, or edit the same work in turn, so far released five publications, one radio show, and one video work. 44 Monthly also participated in the travel project to the Southwest, "OnNomad". The way of relay writing/editing, responding and inspiring each other's creation, allows for creatives of different discipline, media, and subjectivity to meet and converge.
